Care for your body without compromising your identity

This guide was created to offer calm, practical support for people who bind and want to do so with less pain and more care. You’ll find tips that prioritize breathing, mobility, and listening to your body—without pushing past your limits.

There’s no “right” way to bind. There’s only what works safely for you.

Safer binding starts with better information:

So what’s INSIDE?

01

Introduction to Movement

Many trans and gender-diverse people experience tightness in the upper back and shoulders. Binding, ongoing stress, and the physical effects of dysphoria can shape how we hold our bodies day to day. This section offers movement as a tool for relief—supporting comfort, breath, and ease without judgement.

02

Safe Binding Practices

The guide includes practical advice on binder fit and sizing, how long to bind safely, when to avoid binding, and how to support your breath, posture, and recovery. It’s about making binding more sustainable, not changing how or why you bind.

03

Six Simple Stretches

Featured in the guide are six simple, at-home stretches designed to ease tension in the chest, shoulders, neck, and upper back. Each stretch is gentle, adaptable, and meant to support comfort and mobility—no equipment or fitness experience required.

It’s me, Dibs!

I'm a non-binary human of trans experience. I am an activist, certified fitness trainer, occasional podcast guest, sometimes writer, and full time creator of gender euphoria!

I’ve been a personal trainer and group fitness coach since 2017, and have spent much of the last decade working with businesses around diversity and inclusion. Inclusive fitness lives at the intersection of these two passions and is central to my mission: to make movement fun, social, holistic, and accessible. In an industry shaped by toxic masculinity and harmful beauty standards, many people—especially gender-nonconforming folks, fat people, disabled people, and people of colour—are excluded or overlooked. My work is about changing that, empowering marginalized people to build strength, confidence, and resourcefulness in their bodies.

If my mission resonates with you, let’s work together!
